Is your insurance agent doing his job?

I've a friend who called me to ask if her health insurance plan covered H1N1. Like I told my clients who bought health insurance from me. Health plans cover H1N1 medical expenses but do not cover from quarantines.

I asked her why she didn't ask her insurance agent but asked me. She told me that she called her agent who had left and he told her that he does not know and that she should not call him in future as he had left the industry.

My advice to everyone out there. Get a financial planner who seems serious in the business.

My definition of serious? One who continually educates his knowledge and exhibits passion in his field of work. Also, pick an adviser who has been in the field for more than 3 years. If an adviser can survive that long, he is serious about this business.
